Biography Of Mahendra Singh Dhoni- All The Information

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a former international Indian cricket player. MS Dhoni is the only captain in history to have won every ICC trophy. Dhoni was born on July 7, 1981, to Hindu parents Pan Singh and Devki Devi in Ranchi. Pan Singh, his father, moved from Uttarakhand to Ranchi and worked at MECON in entry-level management roles.

Dhoni attended DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir in Ranchi, Jharkhand, where he excelled in cricket, football, and badminton, among other sports. He played cricket for a neighbourhood club in addition to playing goalkeeper for his football team.

Dhoni excelled as a wicketkeeper at the Commando Cricket Club from 1995 to 1998. He was selected for the Vinoo Mankad Trophy Under-16 Championship in 1997–1998 and performed admirably. Following graduation from high school, Dhoni concentrated on cricket.

MS Dhoni’s Personal Life Before marrying Sakshi Singh Rawat, a classmate, MS Dhoni fell in love with Priyanka Jha. They were both nearing their early 20s during that time. Dhoni was doing everything in his power to get chosen for the Indian team at that time in the year 2002. His girlfriend passed away in an accident that same year. Dhoni used to date Lakshmi Rai, a prominent South Indian actress. On July 4, 2010, Mahendra Singh Dhoni wed Sakshi Singh Rawat, a DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir classmate. Sakshi was a trainee studying hotel management at Taj Bengal in Kolkata at the time of their wedding.

The pair welcomed a girl called Ziva on February 6, 2015. He was in Australia then, and the 2015 Cricket World Cup began one week later.

The career of MS Dhoni from the analysis based on latest international cricket news:

Career in ODI

Dhoni entered the international scene when the Indian ODI team was having trouble finding a better wicketkeeper-batsman. We all witnessed the early 2000s introduction of wicketkeeper batsmen like Parthiv Patel and Dinesh Karthik. Then Dhoni joined, and as history attests, that is when everything changed. In 2004–2005, Dhoni was chosen for the ODI team’s tour of Bangladesh. Dhoni’s ODI debut saw him run out on a duck, which was the worst possible start to a career in anyone’s memory.

Dhoni was chosen to play for India in the Pakistan ODI series despite a lackluster series against Bangladesh. Dhoni’s fifth ODI saw him hit 148 runs in just 123 balls during the second game of the series. The Dhoni era then started. His final ODI, played against New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup semi-finals, saw him complete his ODI career with a run-out, just as he had begun it. While there was talk that Dhoni would return following the 2020 IPL, COVID-19’s unanticipated events made it so that MSD played his final international match without bidding farewell.

India was eliminated from the World Cup in just three games in 2007, when Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the country’s Captain Cool, first took part. Rahul Dravid was the team’s captain at the time.

In two ODI World Cups, Mahi led India as the captain. India won the World Cup in 2011 under his direction, and in 2015, they advanced to the semi-finals.

Cricket World Cup 2011

But once the coaching staff was updated in 2011 and Dhoni was made the team’s captain, India got a new captain. It went into the domestic World Cup as the favourite. When India faltered on the league stage in 2011, the squad faced a stalemate against England and a last-over loss to South Africa; Dhoni had unquestionably demonstrated his leadership skills. But in the knockout rounds, everything changed as India eliminated Australia in the quarterfinals, destroyed Pakistan in the semifinals, and advanced to the world cup finals against Sri Lanka.

Dhoni replaced the hot hitter, Yuvraj Singh, at the top of the batting order after chasing 275 in the championship match against Sri Lanka. With three top-order batters already gone, India needed more than six runs each over when Dhoni entered the batting order. He and Gautam Gambhir are forming a fighting alliance. By playing well and moving about the wickets, they were able to keep up the required run rate. Dhoni started off with 60 runs in 60 balls before speeding up his frequency of boundaries to end with 91 runs in 79 balls. With a massive six off Nuwan over long-on, Dhoni put the game away in impressive fashion and won the Man of the Match award.

Cricket World Cup 2015

Dhoni was selected as the 30-man team’s captain for the 2015 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in December 2014 by the BCCI. India easily advanced to the semi-finals under his captaincy by defeating Bangladesh in the quarterfinal match. Under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, India eventually faced Australia in the semi-finals, but Australia defeated India by 95 runs at the Sydney Cricket Ground. India, however, had won 7 straight games during the 2015 World Cup and 11 straight games overall in World Cups. With the victory over Bangladesh, MSD became the first Indian captain and the first non-Australian skipper to win 100 ODIs. Dhoni follows two Australian captains, Ricky Ponting and Allan Border, as the third skipper to win 100 games.

Cricket World Cup in 2019

Dhoni took part in the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales despite surrendering the captaincy to Virat Kohli in late 2016 while continuing to serve as the team’s intellectual centre and the foundation of the batting order. Dhoni scored some useful runs in competitions against Australia, South Africa, and the West Indies. Still, his strike rate against Afghanistan and England drew criticism. Dhoni was the only player to compete with Ravindra Jadeja in the semi-final match against New Zealand, but the finisher was unable to pursue it. Dhoni had a fantastic half-century but was dismissed at a crucial moment. India was kicked out of the World Cup after his run-out. The 2019 World Cup, which did not exactly go as planned, was thought to be Dhoni’s final world cup competition.
