Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a former international Indian cricket player. MS Dhoni is the only captain in history to have won every ICC trophy. Dhoni was born on July 7, 1981, to Hindu parents Pan Singh and Devki Devi in Ranchi. Pan Singh, his father, moved from Uttarakhand to Ranchi and worked at MECON in entry-level management roles.
Dhoni attended DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir in Ranchi, Jharkhand, where he excelled in cricket, football, and badminton, among other sports. He played cricket for a neighbourhood club in addition to playing goalkeeper for his football team.

Career in ODI
Dhoni entered the international scene when the Indian ODI team was having trouble finding a better wicketkeeper-batsman. Dhoni took part in the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales despite surrendering the captaincy to Virat Kohli in late 2016 while continuing to serve as the team’s intellectual centre and the foundation of the batting order. Dhoni scored some useful runs in competitions against Australia, South Africa, and the West Indies. Still, his strike rate against Afghanistan and England drew criticism. Dhoni was the only player to compete with Ravindra Jadeja in the semi-final match against New Zealand, but the finisher was unable to pursue it.
